10th Anniversary of Habitat for Humanity`s operation in Armenia
Fundraising Jazz Dinner
Yerevan - Nov 26, 2010 - Today, in "Tigran Mets" hall of Marriott hotel, Habitat for Humanity Armenia has initiated Fundraising Jazz Dinner which was dedicated to the 10th Anniversary of Habitat for Humanity`s operation in Armenia. In the result of 10 years` active functioning, Habitat Armenia has served more than 600 families to improve their housing conditions and currently about 1200 children live in simple, decent and affordable homes.
The event was featured Malkhas Jazz Band headed by maestro Levon Malkhasyan with their wonderful art. Around 100 representatives of the government, international and local organizations, as well as embassies and consulates located in Armenia joined to the event.

Habitat for Humanity Armenia, dedicated to its mission to provide simple, decent and affordable housing to low income families, is currently implementing housing renovation projects in Tavush, Lori, Gegharkunk regions and in Nor Kharberd village of Ararat. Habitat for Humanity Armenia cooperates with "Nor Horizon" universal credit organization in implementation of above mentioned projects.
"In Armenia, different layers of society experience housing problems, and therefore Habitat for Humanity Armenia's pending goal is to expand the boundaries of its service and extend a helping hand to low income families in improving their housing conditions. This initiative is the first practice of Habitat Armenia to unite new partners and engage local resources for giving solutions to the local problems",-says Luiza Vardanyan, Acting Executive Director of Habitat for Humanity Armenia.
During the event several auctions were held with the active participation of HSBC bank Armenia and Ani boutique staff. Besides, Habitat Armenia received additional donations by HSBC bank Armenia, Zeppelin Armenia and individuals.
The funds raised at the event will be used to improve housing conditions of low income families in Armenia.
